• The Audition (original): - Some time ago I made a painting called Fame, of which The Audition is the sequel to it. Both paintings are set in showbiz, where the figures in the motifs are quirky and have become representative for me; not only in these paintings, but also in my other works. These odd figures have become a bit of my trademark as an artist, so to speak. The figures are born in an endless flow and fill my sketchpads, then I combine them together to find compositions that work for different works. Unique original in oil and acrylic - only one copy Tony Nilsson constantly sketches; something he's done for as long as he can remember. For him, sketching is improvisational and whatever appears in the countless sketchpads, is captured and saved. Some sketches make it all the way to finished works right away, while others are left for the moment and resumed later. Unlike many other artists, he therefore does not want to be placed in a box, but to be free to create in his own way, regardless of how it is expressed. The Audition (original) is an original work and only exists in a single copy sold at Noagallery.se. The size of the acrylic and oil painting is 120 x 120 centimeters.
