Swedish success: - I like to paint iconic artists and it is especially fun with Swedish artists who are doing well. This motif is a tribute to Swedish House Mafia and their music. It's fun to paint portraits, in this case I had to use several different images, most of them were black and white so the colors are completely my own. I wanted to bring an abstract element to the images and now I think the squares look like volume bars when you turn up the music. It fits well.
