The twilight hunter - the horned owl: - There is a thought or story behind almost all of my paintings, says the artist Lars Fredholm. The painting Skymningsjägeren - horned owl shows a horned owl that I discovered at Krankesjön in Skåne, which belongs to my home grounds. The sun was about to set and we were about to leave when I happen to see this great horned owl hiding in a scraggly bush. - I took out the camera and suddenly the bird lifts off and floats away soundlessly, at the same time as the light falls on it - it was a fantastic experience. It is very difficult to see the horned owl and even more difficult to photograph it as it hides during the day and flies in the dark. Now it was just about dusk. I was very lucky. Lars photographed the horned owl to later paint the unique watercolor Skymningsjägaren - the horned owl. Exclusive numbered and signed edition Lars Fredholm completes all his watercolors based on photos and/or sketches that he brings home after his excursions, in search of unique motifs of landscapes and birds in nature.
