• Punch for Peace Strike a punch for peace. The title of the legendary boxer's version of the famous Non-Violence sculpture may sound self-contradictory. Indeed, contradictions characterized the life of the militant Muhammad Ali. Although Muhammad Ali was a multiple world champion in heavyweight boxing, one of the world's most uncompromising martial arts, he had a lifelong commitment to non-violence and peace. He lost the world title when he refused to serve in the military in Vietnam and became involved in the American civil rights movement. Before the legendary fight against world champion Georg Foreman in Zaire in 1974, The rumble in the Jungle, Ali dropped one of his most famous quotes: Fly like a butterfly sting like a bee - his hands can't hit what his eyes can't see. The quote is in the center of Muhammad Ali's version of Carl-Fredrik Reuterswärd's famous sculpture.
