  • Kockumskranen" – Photography The picture "Kockumskranen" was taken in 1990 by the photographer Torbjörn Carlson. The motif represents the former Kockumskranen, which is a 140-meter high crane that was built in 1973-74 in Malmö. Until 2002, Kockumskranen was a proud and beloved landmark, not only in Kockum's former shipyard area, but also in Malmö in general. The crane was then dismantled and shipped to a shipyard in Ulsan, South Korea after being purchased by Hyundai Heavy Industries for the symbolic sum of one dollar. The Koreans call the crane colloquially Malmö's tears, as it is said that Malmö's residents cried when they saw their crane being towed away. The last time the crane was used in Sweden was in 1997 to lift the foundations of the Öresund Bridge's high bridge pillars. The painting is sold framed and is in the format 70 x 50 cm.
