Kal P Dal" - Photography Legendary songwriter, singer and radio host Kal P Dal, or Carl Göran Ljunggren, rocks out in front of Kronetorp's mill in Burlöv. The picture was taken by photographer Torbjörn Carlson. He was born in 1949 and grew up in Arlöv where his father worked on the railway. His stage name followed from the nickname he got when his grandfather gave him a Danish pedal moped. He became Kalle with the pedals, later Kalle pedal and eventually Kal P Dal. As a young man, he performed at Lundagård, where he met Peps Persson, and his music was influenced by classic rock n roll and punk music - but in Scanian. He toured extensively, often in public parks. Kal P Dal died quickly in 1985 after a brain haemorrhage. In 2012, a musical was performed in Malmö based on his life and music. The painting is sold framed and is in the format 70 x 50 cm. - FAQ
