  • clear blue sky with thin white clouds hovering. The title of Yoko Ono's artwork feels obvious - Imagine. It is one of the husband, John Lennon's, most famous songs with a message of peace, love and freedom. The Imagine artwork is a tribute to Lennon and that was also the idea behind the original Non-Violence artwork. The famous sculpture with the knotted revolver was originally made by Swedish artist Carl Fredrik Reuterswärd in 1980, after Lennon was murdered. The sculpture connected to Lennon's fight for peace and with Yoko Ono's bright and optimistic version, the symbolic meaning of the work takes on a new meaning. The rights to the sculpture were eventually transferred to the organization Non-Violence Project Foundation. The organization works to reduce violence in the world and, among other things, trains children in non-violent behavior. The surplus from the sale goes to Non-Violence. In addition to Yoko Ono, both band members and friends Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr have been ambassadors for the organization and made their versions of the sculpture. Limited Edition Sculpture The sculpture by Yoko Ono for the Non-Violence Project comes in three sizes, 19cm, 30cm and 40cm, and is made on hand-painted polyresin. The sculpture is in a limited edition, the 19 cm is in an edition of 499 copies, the 30 cm is in 299 copies and the larger 40 cm is in 199 copies. It comes with a certificate of authenticity and is in a nice gift box!
