• Fame (original): – The inspiration for this painting, as well as the title of the work, originates from the musical film and drama series (from the early 80s) of the same name. My quirky fantasy characters, are a recurring and significant motif among my works, and here I tried with my composition of them to capture the very first intro to Fame (which appears at the beginning of each episode of the series) where the teacher explains the meaning of fame to the students, and what it also takes to gain fame. Unique original in acrylic and oil - only one copy Tony Nilsson feverishly sketches new works; something he has done for as long as he can remember. For him, sketching is improvisational and whatever fills the countless sketchpads is captured and saved. Some sketches make it all the way to finished works right away, while others are left for the moment and resumed later. Unlike many other artists, he does not feel comfortable being placed in a compartment, but rather wants to be free to (continue) creating in his own way. Fame (original) is an original work and only exists in a single copy sold at Noagallery.se. The size of the original painting is 120 x 120 centimeters.
