• One of John Lennon's most famous songs is the song Imagine. The word is painted on former Beatles member, drummer and friend Ringo Starr's artwork, Drums for Peace. Strong colors that bring to mind the hippie era and the 60s are his signature on the famous revolver. The artwork is Starr's interpretation of the sculpture Revolver with knot, "Non-violence" and was originally designed by the artist Carl Fredrik Reuterswärd in 1980 as a tribute to John Lennon and his fight for a more peaceful world. Carl Fredrik Reuterswärd later transferred the rights to the sculpture to the organization Non-Violence Project Foundation. The organization works to reduce violence in the world and, among other things, trains children in non-violent behavior. In addition to Ringo Starr, the organization has both Paul McCartney and Yoko Ono as its ambassadors. All surplus from the sale goes to Non-Violence. Limited Edition Sculpture The sculpture of Ringo Starr for the Non-Violence Project is available in three sizes, 19cm, 30cm and 40cm, and is made on hand-painted polyresin. The sculpture is available in a limited edition, the 19 cm is available in an edition of 499 copies, the 30 cm in an edition of 299 copies and the larger 40 cm is available in 199 copies. It comes with a certificate of authenticity and is in a nice gift box!
