• It's the curve you want : Catrine Näsmark likes to paint motorbikes, cars and horses. The recurring motifs are about horsepower, the power of the engines and the sense of freedom and strength that the motifs give the viewer. Catrine Näsmark herself rides a motorcycle as often as she can, and the time of year when she can't ride, she paints motorcycles instead. Catrine Näsmark has a special philosophy about motorcycle culture - it's perfectly fine to turn and twist the traditional macho attributes and do what you want completely on your own terms. - I have a mission and that is to get more women to ride motorcycles. I don't really know anything about engines or the technical part of motorcycle culture, I just want to convey the freedom and show that you can do it your own way. One day I will ride naked and document it - that would be the ultimate freedom.
