Cassowary Lisa Törner gets a lot of her inspiration when she's out and about. Often she tries to find an animal that expresses what she wants to say, preferably animals that are not considered beautiful. Here she has painted the unusual bird Cassowary, cassowary as it is called in Swedish. The bird is pretty much only found in Australia and New Guinea and it's not particularly beautiful but looks lovely! The bird is very shy, cannot fly but swims well and if it feels threatened, it can kick in front of it with its claw-covered leg.
